Erik Wilhelm, getting first tracks on Beaver Bowl at Alpine Meadows.  All worth it for this shot, after freezing  in the middle of the only cloud in the sky in the early a.m. while howling winds blasted us on the ridge and a cranky ski patrol crew blasted our eardrums with avalanche bombs.  Between doing their best to leave us behind and then admonishing us for not keeping up, various members of patrol would snarl things like "if you want to get blown up!" when we asked if a particular bowl was ready to go.
